These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Retromate (“the Service”), operated by Retromate (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Retromate is an AI-assisted retrospective tool for agile teams. It includes a realtime collaborative board, an AI agent that analyzes retro content and surfaces patterns across sessions, action item tracking, and related features.
Using the Service — including browsing the site, creating an account, or contributing content to a retro — constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy. No separate signature is required.
The Service uses AI to analyze retro content, detect recurring themes, and prepare context for future sessions. The AI agent performs semantic search over your team’s retro history to surface relevant past content.
We reserve the right to change, at any time and without prior notice, how the AI features operate, including but not limited to:
These parameters are tuned continuously to improve quality and manage infrastructure costs. They are not a guaranteed product specification.
We currently provide unlimited retro history storage on all plans. We reserve the right to impose, modify, or enforce data retention limits on any plan at any time, including plans that previously had no such limit. This applies to all tiers — free and paid.
If we introduce a retention limit that would result in deletion of your existing data, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice by email before any data is removed, giving you time to export it.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact billing@retromate.co.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes to existing subscriptions will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
You retain ownership of all content your team creates in the Service. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit that content for the purpose of operating the Service, including sending it to third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI-generated summaries, patterns, and recommendations are provided for informational purposes and may be inaccurate. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI output.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Retromate is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
